Way better than the bowl cut haircuts than my brother use to get!!! ~~~har har har~~~
The KK rice bowl: Korean-inspired marinated ribeye ---meat is no knife-needed TENDER, perfectly marinated, comes with kimchi and a dose of seaweed on top. Absolutely love it. So delicious. Even our asian parents approved. Just maybe needs an extra fried egg or extra meat if you are starving. Fried egg for $1 absolutely worth it.
Teriyaki rice bowl: less sweet than most teriyaki, chicken is again delicately taken care of, served with cucumber and pickled carrots. This chicken is marinated and grilled off of CHARCOAL, which makes a big difference in terms of flavor. It's obvious that much love and thought were put into creating the dish. I'm not much of a chicken fan, but I gobbled up the whole thing.
And the kimchi? How is it that a food truck owned by a Vietnamese guy has one of the best tasting kimchi I have eaten?? And I've gone to plenty of Korean restaurants in LA, NYC, Chicago, and Korea....Maybe it's a preference thing, but just the right amount of seasoning/spice and tanginess.
Wings: were decent, but tad on the salty side. Probably consider some veggies on the side or rice to even it out.
They also rotate/switch out new menu items, so I will be looking forward to trying that in the future (hopefully Pho???).
Bottom line: Bowlcut stays true to Asian flavors, adapting it well for all foodies. This is a food truck you should definitely visit if craving for some yummy and delicious Asian food! -

I found this truck at the Zocalo location and I have been wanting to try a food truck bowl for a while now so this was my choice for lunch.
The menu had the teriyaki rice bowl while that would normally not appeal to me but two words got my attention, charcoal grilled and it was on with the added over easy egg.
My first thought was that it was presented nicely and my second was that it was small looking for $11. The charcoal glazed chicken was a thigh that was very flavorful and moist with a nice fresh citrus/charcoal flavor on a bed of sticky rice. When the tasty chicken is all gone the white sticky rice is boring and needs some soy sauce or something to liven it up but overall it was good. -

I was browsing through yelp looking for new food trucks to try and I came across Bowl Cut. I will be honest they had me sold on their logo alone. This food truck is located in what I would call a very small food truck alley. There were about 5 additional independent food trucks at this location.
There is a parking lot next door and a large outdoor seating area with free water and a few outdoor games you can play (such as bean bag toss).
When I arrived to the window to place my order everything on the menu looked very tasty, so I decided to try the Vegeta Bowl. As I was walking away with my food in hand I saw a gentleman who ordered the Kimchi bowl which also looked amazing and I had a second thought to go back to the window to order the Kimchi Bowl as well. However I decided to try my food first so I grabbed a seat in the nearby seating area and devoured my food. The ingredients were fresh and the rice had a slight flavored taste to it. This dish was great and after I decided I could not eat another bowl in the same setting I will make future plans to go back and try the Kimchi Bowl next time.
The staff was welcoming, friendly and fast. Please give this place a try you love the atmosphere as well. -

MY FAVORITE FOOD TRUCK IN MILWAUKEE! LOVE THIS PLACE & SO GLAD IT OPENED! Delicious food & awesome, friendly, funny workers!! I've been here twice now (I live in Chicago or else I'd be here a LOT more!!), & every dish I've ordered has been super yummy (I just ordered 4 dishes this last visit LOL almost the whole menu). I've had the KK rice bowl (my fave!) that has super juicy & tender ribeye, and the sweet heat wings are a top-seller--you can tell they make the glaze fresh & it's very flavorful! I've had the teriyaki chicken bowl that definitely has it's own unique zesty kick. The kimchi fried rice is a classic. I recommend adding extra meat or a fried egg to it! They just added pho to their menu & I'm a fan! Tastes great & good for cold nights to keep you warm while you hang out at the park/indoor bar area! i always make it a priority to visit Bowl Cut when I'm in MKE. Definitely recommend!

I love this place. I've been here numerous times after the Zocalo Food Truck Park has opened and I haven't been disappointed. With its wide array of rice bowls (meat and vegetarian), ethnic sweet drinks, and sweet heat chicken wings, your cravings will be satisfied. Portion sizes are appropriate, and the quality of the meat is intoxicating. By far, my favorite bowl so far has been the KK Bowl which consists of Kalbi Korean Beef Short Rib, Kim Chi, Scallions, Nori Flakes, and to top it off I added a Fried Egg on top of it to seal the deal. Definitely a place I'd recommend
